Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She's an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation often. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta was bilingual by the time she turned nine. It is this skill that allowed her to get her first position as a Univision production assistant in Miami. There, she collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later hired by the CBS station as a sports journalist. Then, in 2009 the reporter moved into Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. In addition, she was an anchor for weather anchors, sports anchors and forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was granted more responsibilities. She reported on the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys as well as the NBA Postseason and the finals of FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She became a sports host for the morning program on Despierta America Deportes. The anchor also worked in the same role as the show's magazine Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins was a native of the city of Veracruz, Mexico. She was born November 22, 1985, in Mexico City. She's older than her sister. There is an older sibling. Her parents divorced soon after and, in 1995, she married an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was on a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered an employment. Antonietta was a senior high school student however, she had a very clear vision of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. At the end of the day she was enthralled with the university. The university offered her the opportunity to study a major. She finished school and attended the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU in which she is a member. They developed a close friendship. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence encouraged her. In turn, she, tried to meet his expectations and never let him down.
